EPF 8% Means Paying More Income Tax 2

Let us put 2 examples :

1st example, let say salary for 2008 is RM3K per month (sob...sob...) and do not hv life insurance.

Penggajian : RM3K x 12 = RM36000
Penolakan : RMxxxx
Pelepasan (EPF or life insurance)
a)If 8% = RM2880
b)If 11%= RM3960

a) So Pendapatan bercukai = RM36000 - RMxxxx - 2880
b) So Pendapatan bercukai = RM36000 - RMxxxx - 3960

Obviously will need to pay more tax if choose 8%.

====================================================

2nd example, if salary for 2008 is RM8K per month and do not hv any life insurance.

Penggajian : RM8K x 12 = RM96000
Penolakan : RMxxxx
Pelepasan (EPF or life insurance)
a)If 8% = RM7680
b)If 11%= RM10560
Both already exceed RM6000 so the pelepasan will be the same RM6K

a) So Pendapatan bercukai = RM96000 - RMxxxx - 6000 (max)
b) So Pendapatan bercukai = RM96000 - RMxxxx - 6000 (max)

And in this case, no matter choose either case (a) or (b), she will still paying the same income TAX.
